The City's Utility Infrastructure includes potable water, reuse water, stormwater, sewer.  Our water treatment plan provides 7.1 million gallons of treated drinking water daily.  The City's utility infrastructure system includes 81 miles of water transmission and distribution lines, 72 miles of gravity sewer and force mains, 42 miles of stormwater, and 16 lift stations. 

The City of Hallandale Beach has an aged and stressed utility infrastructure. Over the years multiple studies have assessed and recommended immediate rehabilitative measures be initiated to mitigate against catastrophic infrastructure failures. Additionally, increased development within the city has necessitated capacity improvements be made to meet the incoming service demands. 

The 2022 Infrastructure Construction Plan was presented to the City Commission on April 6, 2022.  It was prepared to be an outline of the construction schedule for the city's infrastructure rehabilitation. These projects are prioritized based on the recommendations assessed as urgent with in the 2016 Basis of Design Report, 2016 Wastewater Masterplan, 2019 Year Water Supply Plan and the 2014 Water, Wastewater and Stormwater Facilities Plan.  These projects have been reviewed and prioritized on the recommendations of the Engineering Team of the Public Works Department based on need.

This process will be challenging and test the fortitude of our city. The result of this effort will establish a secure, and stable utility for decades to come.
