Public Transportation:

Effective February, 1st, Masks must be worn at train and subway stations, bus terminals and airports nationwide, as well as on planes, trains, busses, and other types of public transportation in the United States, including the City's Community Mini Bus, according to a far-reaching federal public health order.

This Order must be followed by all passengers on public conveyances (e.g., airplanes, ships, ferries, trains, subways, buses, taxis, ride-shares) traveling into, within, or out of the United States as well as conveyance operators (e.g., crew, drivers, conductors, and other workers involved in the operation of conveyances) and operators of transportation hubs (e.g., airports, bus or ferry terminals, train or subway stations, seaports, ports of entry) or any other area that provides transportation in the United States.  People must wear masks that cover both the mouth and nose when awaiting, boarding, traveling on, or disembarking public conveyances. People must also wear masks when entering or on the premises of a transportation hub in the United States.

Facial Covering Requirements:

Facial coverings help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and help keep you and those around you safe.

Facial coverings must be worn by all persons obtaining services at City facilities including City Hall.

Facial coverings should continue to be worn by:

  • All persons while outside their residence, when physical distancing cannot be maintained.
  • All persons while visiting or using an amenity (park, pool, beach or any leisure/ entertainment area of a multi-family housing or residential facility including pool, community room, athletic court) when physical distancing (6') cannot be maintained.
  • All persons at an establishment (retail, commercial, government, charity, non-profit, business, organization) including entering, exiting, and when moving around, regardless of physical distancing.
  • Workers in any establishment or amenity, regardless of physical distancing.
  • All persons visiting or using a common area of a multi-family housing including reception area, hallway, elevator, regardless of physical distancing.
  • All persons while using or visiting a gym or fitness center, except when actively exercising.
