Chief Michel Michel began his career with the Hallandale Beach Police Department in 2002 and was appointed as the Chief of Police on May 4, 2022.  Chief Michel currently oversees the day to day operations of the agency. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Union Institute and University. Chief Michel is also a graduate of the Southern Police Institute’s Command Officers Development Course, FDLE’s Florida Leadership Academy and the Senior Management Institute for Police.
